Porsche, the renowned luxury automaker, has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the all-electric Macan. With powertrains boasting up to 639 horsepower and a staggering electric range of up to 784 kilometers, this SUV sets new standards in the world of electric vehicles. The Macan not only offers remarkable E-Performance but also delivers an exceptional driving experience on any terrain.

Porsche unveils game-changing all-electric Macan SUV

Ten years after its initial launch, the Porsche Macan enters its second generation, now as an all-electric marvel. With its distinctive design, trademark Porsche performance, long-range capabilities, and practicality, the new Macan 4 and Macan Turbo aim to fulfill the needs and desires of SUV enthusiasts worldwide. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, expressed his excitement during the world premiere in Singapore, stating, “We are taking the Macan to a completely new level.”

Equipped with state-of-the-art PSM electric motors, the Macan 4 produces an impressive 408 horsepower, while the Macan Turbo takes it up a notch with a remarkable 639 horsepower. These powerhouses can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 and 3.3 seconds, respectively, showcasing top-class E-Performance. The Macan draws its energy from a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery with an 800-volt architecture, a first for Porsche. This innovation allows for lightning-fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in just 21 minutes at fast-charging stations.

The Macan can efficiently charge at up to 135 kW at 400-volt stations. This cutting-edge technology ensures the Macan remains ready to conquer any journey. The new Macan models retain Porsche’s iconic design DNA, featuring sporty proportions and coupé-like lines. The dynamic appearance, with its sharply pronounced wings and signature Porsche flyline, reaffirms the Macan’s status as a sports car in the SUV segment.

The exterior design also incorporates active and passive aerodynamics, contributing to the Macan’s impressive range and efficiency. Inside the Macan, Porsche has created a performance-oriented SUV with increased practicality. Luggage space has expanded, offering up to 540 liters of cargo capacity behind the rear seat bench. Additionally, there’s a ‘frunk’ with 84 liters of space under the bonnet. These improvements make the Macan an ideal companion for both daily use and extended journeys.

The Macan boasts a state-of-the-art infotainment system, based on Android Automotive OS, with up to three screens and a head-up display featuring augmented reality technology. Passengers can also access popular third-party apps directly through the Porsche App Centre. This connectivity and tech integration redefine the driving experience.

Porsche has engineered the Macan for an exceptional driving experience, featuring rear-axle steering, all-wheel drive, and electronic damping control. The Macan’s electrified powertrain allows for unprecedented driving stability, responsiveness, and a compact turning circle for urban environments. Since its introduction in 2014, Porsche has delivered over 800,000 Macan units worldwide. The all-electric successor, produced in a net carbon-neutral manner at the Porsche Plant Leipzig, is set to carry on this legacy. Customers can expect delivery of these groundbreaking models during the second half of the year.
